Birthday girl

Yesterday Kaylyn celebrated a very special day - she turned 15 on the 15th. My sister called it her "champagne" birthday - but no, she didn't get to have champagne!
She did however get a very special gift from us - a Pandora bracelet. She really liked it. We got a horse charm, a cat charm and a purple glass bead with hearts on it - some of her favourite things.

She still cooperates (a little anyway!) for photos - I can hardly believe she is so grown up! My breath catches when I look at these photos...she's beautiful and smart and creative and I'm so proud of her!

She had just opened her bracelet here - Erika's hand is in the photo in front of the bracelet.

Kaylyn starts Highschool next year and we've been checking out open houses. Last night we had Queen Elizabeth AP information night and tonight was M.E. Lazert's IB information night. We have more over the next few weeks, including the open house at Victoria school of the arts. The choices are a bit overwhelming and the fact that we are looking at AP and IB programs is amazing - Kaylyn has really worked hard and is doing absolutely fabulous this year. She is in a regular classroom and is averaging 88 to 92% in every subject (except gym - that's a bit lower, lol). She's running 100% in art. Her Language Arts teacher keeps telling us and her that she is very talented in her writing and he'd love for her to tackle an advanced class in this in highschool. Did I mention how proud of her we are?!

I remember when she just started school!! She is beautiful and you should be proud of the great work she's doing at school. There are so many good schools to choose from - Victoria School offers such unique opportunities. I look forward to hearing about your decision and to what the high school years will bring for your sweet daughter. Great gift choices :)
